As the Communications Manager at Connexa, you will be the custodian of the Connexa ‘tone of voice’ and play a critical role in shaping our approach to communication activities and helping us find our tone of voice. You will be responsible for producing a comms plan, creating content and managing all communication activities with the aim of enhancing our supplier and employer brand image and reputation and supporting the overall business objectives. The focus is more on internal comms, but at times you may need to also work with our PR or branding agency on website provider.
This is a hands-on role that would suit a creative and proactive individual who is keen to learn about what makes Connexa ‘tick’ and wants to make a difference. As the only comms professional in the company, your role will be hugely varied. On any given day you could be penning a newsletter or a blog post for the CEO, updating our website, dreaming up a piece of thought leadership, helping finesse marketing and customer collateral, posting of our accolades on LinkedIn, proofreading a board preso, supporting our Optimisation project team with change comms or even advising on the UX (look and feel) of one of our new systems.
You need to be able to edit content and write very well in not too corporate speak – that’s a given – but ideally, you’ll also be familiar with visual forms of communication (Canva, PowerPoint and a whole bunch of other tools we hope you can teach us!).
Please note that we have another person who liaises with community stakeholders on contentious or special interest site build activities… but you are welcome to get involved in this space if you are interested and have relevant experience.
You’ll need and want to work from the office regularly, but we’re happy to consider a part-time or flexible hours working pattern.
