Role Title: Water Treatment Engineer
Location: London Shoreditch -
Role Purpose: Join our team as a Water Treatment Engineer on a static site in London Shoreditch.
We’re seeking a skilled professional to ensure the efficient operation and compliance of our water treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities of a Water Treatment Engineer:
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of water treatment systems.
• Manage water treatment processes including chemical dosing and water quality testing.
• Manage and ensure smooth running of the 4 cooling towers on site.
• Ensuring to dose closed systems correctly with inhibitors.
• Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
• Become the site AP for water systems
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate records.
• Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Softened Water Treatment Plant.
• Routine operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures.
• Planned preventative maintenance activities and reactive work orders.
• Issue of Permits to Work in accordance with company authorisation levels.
• Compilation of reports detailing incidents and accidents in accordance with company procedures.
• TMV servicing, repairs, and replacements
• Showerhead descales.
• Weekly flushing and monthly temperature checks
• Maintain up-to-date water hygiene logbooks
• Collaborate with facilities management team members.
Requirements of a Water Treatment Engineer:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role required.
• Strong understanding of HSG274 and ACOP L8 is highly desirable.
• Plumbing or electrical qualification, or relevant experience, is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Knowledge of water softeners, chlorine dioxide units, UV systems, and chemical dosing plants is advantageous.
