About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Product Design to lead the Product Design team and differentiate our products through great design. We have an opportunity to transform how people work as employees return to hybrid workplaces. Envoy is building a diverse set of products for employees, administrators, and visitors to support flexible workplaces. These products will support the future of flexible workplaces. 

Our high-quality design and polished experiences are what set Envoy apart, and we value great design in everything that we do. As a Head of Product Design you’ll be responsible for managing, mentoring, and growing a team. You’ll provide direction of great design to all of our products, contributing across our product lines including mobile apps and web. You’ll join a group of people obsessed with building products for workplaces that challenge the status quo of a workplace experience.

You Will

• Bring a passion for the end user. We build products for workplaces, the people who use them, and the people who run them.
• Help Envoy’s teams distinguish between user needs and user wants, and ensure we deliver delightful experiences for our users.
• Bring a passion for transforming workplaces - hybrid, dynamic, and more traditional workplaces 
• Be responsible for the strategic direction of product design at Envoy, including hiring researchers, leading investments in the design system and first and foremost ensuring the team can execute world-class product design for us to achieve our vision of changing workplaces everywhere.
• Work directly with the Head of Product, and Visual Design team to ensure consistency and quality across all of Envoy’s products and that design is a differentiator.

You Have

• Managed a team of product designers
• 4+ years of management experience
• Incorporated research for into your team’s product design process 
• Impacted company-level strategic direction through great product design and research

You Are

• A leader who will ensure the team improves systematically to constantly see improvements in design
• Someone who wants to solve the problem that customers have, not just the problems they ask about
• Passionate and care about our opportunity and mission to change workplaces for the betterment of people who use offices. You want to use design to have a broad impact
• An educator first - you are able to communicate openly and bring people into your ideas to help them understand what’s important

Nice to Have

• Experience managing product research teams (UX researcher, research operations, etc)
• Experience managing design systems teams before
