The Door Host is required to help keep order, and make sure everyone is safe and has a good time. The Door Hosts provide the initial line of support to the entire venue, and is the greeter of all guests who enter the venue and leave the venue. Our Door Hosts must be energetic, kind and approachable, while interacting with passerby's to welcome and urge them into the venues. Responsibilities are to monitor people by checking I.D.s, check backpacks/purses for unapproved items, monitor levels of intoxication of potential/current patrons, make sure patrons are not acting aggressively or destructively, and to protect staff, property and equipment from damage. If a person is acting in a dangerous or unseemly manner, the Door Host is to warn that person and, if needed, remove them from the venue in a professional manner. Proper cash-handling techniques for cover charge for weekends and/or special events may be required by venue.
To be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (Blackout Dates for no time off requests may include, but are not limited to: St. Patrick's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, New Years Eve)
