We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel, and our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCO!
What will you be doing?
- Maintaining a neatly groomed appearance (uniform clean and name tag on)
- Arriving at least 10 minutes before the start of your shift
- Able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Answer and assist with all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task, will be required to drop a task to assist guests first.
- Must be able to complete repetitive work, such as stripping guest rooms, making beds, collecting soiled linens, and collecting garbage.
- Must be able to work well independently, as well as in a team atmosphere.
- Being knowledgeable of our facilities and services with the ability to promote and direct guests to those areas.
- May be required to assist with laundry, washing, and delivering linen to the floors as well as sorting the laundry chute.
- Manually transport and distribute laundry to pre-designated locations.
- Stocking storage rooms with guest supplies for Room Attendants.
- Cleaning linen rooms, and electrical rooms.
- Follow lost and found procedures, bagging, and tagging accurately.
- Handle chemicals in a cautious and responsible manner in compliance with MSDS.
- Stocking the housekeeping carts with linen, guest supplies and cleaning supplies
- May be required to clean guest rooms.
- Will be required to complete stayover cleans for guests in house.
- Take and complete all Brand Trainings.
- Assisting other departments when necessary and resolving challenges that may occur.
- Available to work varied shifts: days, weekends, and holidays.
- Assisting in property walks, parking lot clean ups.
- Follow company health & safety and security procedures.
- Communicate information to the appropriate hotel personnel on any concerns or issues accurately.
- Assisting other departments when necessary and available. Cross training or working at our sister properties.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the management team.
What are we looking for?
- Possess a keen eye for detail
- Self-starter, with time management and organizational skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
- Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Perform other related duties as assigned
