A technical sales engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills. The emphasis of the work varies depending on the level of technical knowledge needed to sell products and services and respond effectively to clients’ queries.
To ensure clients’ and their own company's needs are met, technical sales engineers liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as research, development, design, purchasing, production, and quality, as well as senior company managers.

Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and
Communication or Instrumentation or BSc Electronics.
· 2-3 years sales experience and/or design engineering
· Distribution experience preferred
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
· Requires a self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal
with pressure
· Time management, organization and customer service skills
· Excellent presentation design and delivery skills as well as ability to drive
programs and manage projects
· Ability to sell, negotiate, persuade and influence.
· Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of customer and
supplier
