Job Description

As an innovative instructional designer, youll collaborate with policy specialists and subject matter experts to design and produce engaging and innovative training content. In this role, you will contribute to all aspects of training for an operations audience, including the analysis, design, development, and delivery of training. Youll work with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to provide training support for major process and product launches while ensuring all content meets YouTubes highest standards.

Youre passionate about creating the best support experience possible through the design, development and implementation of effective blended learning programs. Youre sensitive and proactively address the needs of support agents in your instructional design, and youre passionate about developing engaging and innovative e-learning training materials and job aids.

Responsibilities:

Meets with Training Program Manager to determine training performance objectives and design plan

Collaborate with subject matter experts in a variety of fields to help translate their knowledge into an effective learning experience for others

Design and develop performance objectives aligned with KPIs and quality

Based on objectives, creates training activities and assessment

Develops facilitator & classroom materials (including job aids)

Conducts QC of eLearning developed

Develops storyboards for eLearning development

Build self-check knowledge quizzes and related formative and summative exams

Perform ongoing analysis of vendor performance and new product launches to ensure existing training content remains fresh, relevant and top of mind for users

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Media Production, or 3 years equivalent practical experience

3+ years experience designing, developing and implementing online training and e- learning programs, including video production

Documented experience using a Learning Management System (LMS), and e-learning authoring tools (Evolve Authoring Tool, Adapt, Camtasia)

Experience using video production software (Adobe Premiere) and professional studio equipment, including shooting, producing, audio and lighting

Strong consulting and relationship management skills, and a track record of delivery and impact

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly, as well as experience communicating effectively on bug tracking software and in stakeholder meetings

Experience designing, developing and implementing a training curriculum using various formats including videos, job aids, facilitator guides and e-learning modules

Graphic design and illustration experience
