MRI Technologist

• We are looking for someone who can scan independently and facilitate patient throughput performing multiple procedures per shift on both pediatric and adult critically ill patients.  Our procedures include a vast array of neurological, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic studies. Candidate will be working with another Technologist or an Imaging Assistant.

• Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
• Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
• Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
• Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
• Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
• Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
• Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, or MRI accredited program. 

• 2 YEARS' RECENT MRI EXPERIENCE in an In-House Acute Care Setting. 
• SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE USING NEWER GE SCANNER PLATFORMS REQUIRED. 
• Cardiac MRI experience highly desirable. 
• Pediatric experience a plus.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• BLS (AHA) required.  
• ARRT (R) or ARMRIT required, ARRT (MR) Registry preferred.
