Location: AUSTIN, TX

Essential Function:

• The MRI Technologist shall be responsible for performing MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the Medical Director of Radiology and Department Policies and Procedures.
• Provides training for Level One MR Safety Trained Personnel.
• The MRI Technologist demonstrates a knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of electromagnetic and computer sciences, magnetic protection and specialized techniques.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
• MRI Technologist will also perform duties of Medical Radiographer when not performing MRI exams.

Education:

• Graduate of an America Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy.

Experience:

• One year of experience performing MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures

Certifications:

• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
