Job Description :

• The new Ecommerce Developer position is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced and energized team.
• This new role will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and IT to assist in the execution of clients' digital strategy.
• You will play a critical role in managing our primary eCommerce Platforms and will utilize your enterprise-level development experience to help support and expand our growing Ecommerce websites, portals, and Omni-Channel capabilities.
• This is a well-rounded position that will require advanced technical abilities and business savvy.
• The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have advanced problem-solving skills.
• Often, they will need to have the ability to think creatively to find solutions to complex problems and eliminate obstacles that block the flow of data between different departments and software integrations.
• The new position will help to combine business requirements and company goals with technical solutions that will promote efficiency, supply insights into Ecommerce technology trends, and will ultimately help guide the future of the platform.
• Being detail oriented and arriving with extensive knowledge of Ecommerce Platform Design, Infrastructure, Security, and Development, is a must.
• Will need strong skills in understanding and writing PHP based web apps, working with large, enterprise CMS systems and data sets, and hands-on experience consuming Web Services and developing APIs.
• This position will be actively involved in activities around Sales, eCommerce Support, Custom Portal development, Dev Ops, and collaboration.
• Ensuring platform security, performance, and the ability to keep all client data secure and safe is critical to this role.

Responsibilities :

• Become a subject matter expert in all areas of clientE-Commerce, fulfillment, and marketing brand applications.
• Building and documenting technical requirements, flow charts, and diagrams around projects and functionality to be built along with existing applications.
• Will assist in the development and support of new and existing E-Commerce Applications using Magento 1 & 2, WordPress, and other custom content management systems.
• Customize Magento's front-end components, code templates, and design and build themes and interfaces.
• Help develop and support our custom ERP integrations that include mapping product and customer data between multiple systems.
• Designs and develops clean, maintainable, performant applications using the latest security measures.
• Builds and maintains integrations with new and existing third party providers using Service Oriented Architectures , Web Services, and SOAP APIs
• Corrects production issues that impact revenue or order fulfillment, with a high sense of urgency, always putting the customer first.
• Manage, create, and update MySQL Databases
• Optimize MySQL & Microsoft SQL queries
• Maintain 24x7 availability to address critical business and/or IT situations.
• Perform design and code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance and application responsiveness.
• Will perform additional responsibilities when required

Skills & Qualifications :

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficient in PHP, MVC, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, XHTML, and JavaScript with solid understanding of their ecosystem.
• 3+ years web development experience preferred
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, web application architecture and relational database design
• 3+ years of experience developing and architecting E-Commerce Platforms such as Magento, Adobe Commerce, Woocommerce or Shopify.
• 5+ years of experience with PHP and PHP frameworks, web services, and creating custom modules. Experience with SOAP APIs is preferred.
• Proficient in developing new widgets and extending core functionality in custom WordPress sites. The use of Page Builders like Elementor is preferred.
• Proficient in developing and supporting custom ERP integrations.
• Proficient in front-end development and frameworks including JavaScript, JQuery, Knockout JS, Angular/VueJS/React, LESS/SASS, and build technologies such as Grunt, Gulp, and Webpack
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Extreme attention to detail and highly organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to create technical documents
• The desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
