Title : Product Inspector II - Shift 1
Location: Oakdale, MN 55128
Duration: 12 Months contract

Qualifications:
Quality Control Technology coursework leading to QC Certification via a certified vocational school. Certification in statistical Process Control; must demonstrate competency in relevant inspection methods/processes. 6 or more years experience in medical device Quality Control environment; or a combination of post HS education and experience providing equivalent knowledge/skill. Minimum 2 years previous lead/supervisory experience. Meet the Core Requirements or be at the T04 Inspector level or greater. Have been evaluated on most recent formal performance appraisal at Exceeds Position Requirements level or above. Demonstrate leadership/ supervisory capabilities. Possess a consistently acceptable attendance record. Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of ICU Medical products. Demonstrated ability to understand and follow inspection procedures. Must be able to clearly communicate instructions so others can understand them. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills to establish priorities for incoming and in process inspection areas. Demonstrated ability to meet critical daily inspection deadlines. Demonstrated ability to understand production blueprints, documentation, and drawings. Working knowledge of Quality System requirements. Skill to effectively coordinate activities of QC inspectors. Mechanical/electrical skills to effectively inspect components and subassemblies. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software (Windows); demonstrated ability use related software for word processing (Word) and spreadsheets (Excel), inventory management (Oracle) and Microsoft Access Databases. Working knowledge of statistical process control is desirable. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with Engineers, Buyer/Planners, and Data/MRB Coordinator. Competency in interpreting Inspection Procedures (IPs) and Quality System requirements. Ability to make accurate decisions.

Responsibilities:
Leads the daily activities of the Quality Control department. Reviews and verifies accuracy of inspection records, releases components and sub-assemblies to manufacturing using Oracle inventory management system. Performs final release of components and sub-assemblies to manufacturing. Required to perform final release of product into the market using paper and computer-based releases. Interfaces with Managers, Engineers, Buyer/Planners, and Engineering Technicians to establish and maintain inspection priorities. •
