Wireless & Fibre Infrastructure Engineer

Airband are now recruiting a predominately field based experienced Wireless & Fibre Infrastructure Engineer Join Our Mission to Bring Better Broadband to Rural Communities.

Perm Position - £30,000 to £33,880 + vehicle + benefits + overtime [salary dependent on experience]

As an Airband Infrastructure Engineer you may come from a background including Network commissioning Engineer, Telecoms Rigger, Telecoms Engineer, Minimum of 12 months IP Networking experience & a minimum of 12 months wireless or WIFI Telecoms experience.

• As and Airband Infrastructure Engineer you will be predominately field based covering a region including West Midlands, Shropshire, Central & North Wales [as far north as Rhyl] as far south as Swansea and Oxford.
• Reporting to our Technical Support Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our wireless infrastructure and fibre cabinet equipment within your area are fully maintained and operating at full potential.
• The role will also include working at heights up to 50 meters, maintaining and installing wireless equipment on masts, towers & building structures.
• Working independently as well as operating within a dedicated Team. You will have an understanding of Networking IP & Wireless fundamentals,

Desirable Skills & experience to do the role: Static & Mobile Boom 1B & 3B, CSS Worksafe, First Aid at work, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Street Works (Unit 2 01 SLG), Tower Climber Medical, Tower climber & Rescue, Radio Frequency Awareness, Roof Top Safety & Access, ACDC Awareness
