This person must have the ability to understand complex data relations, business requirements, formulate efficient and reliable solutions to difficult problems.
The candidate should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of RDBMS concepts and experienced in writing complex queries and data integration processes in SQL/TSQL and NoSQL.
This individual will be responsible for creating the design, development and implementation of new and existing applications.
• Work Collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders to architect, implement and test Big Data based analytical solution from disparate sources
• Responsible for providing subject matter expertise in design of database schemes and performing data modeling (logical and physical models), for product feature enhancements as well as extending analytical capabilities.
• Reviews the existing database design and data management procedures and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Demonstrate and understanding of concepts, best practices and functions to implement a Big Data solution in a corporate environment.
• Design of scalable Big Data Architectures and solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical designs
• Implementation of some or all of the big data systems in distributed cloud environments
• Database, storage, and other back-end services in fully virtualized environments
• Scalability and high availability, fault tolerance, and elasticity
• Security, encryption for Big Data environments
• Develop technical documentation as needed.
• Architect, Design and maintain high performing ELT/ETL and SQL Processes.
• Big Data platform design i.e. tool selection, data integration, and data preparation for predictive modeling.
• Monitoring, alerts, and automated recovery
• Participate in an Agile SDLC to deliver new cloud platform services and components
• Champion best practices for Linux administration and Security for delivery of cloud services
• Set architectural vision and direction across a matrix of teams
• proven industry leader in Big data architecture and operations
• Strong experience with one or more ETL/ELT tools.
• Analyze, architect, develop, validate and support integrating data into the SEW platform from external data source; Files (XML, CSV, XLS, etc.), APIs (REST, SOAP), RDBMS.
• Deep expertise in Hadoop ecosystem and NoSQL database technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in process improvement, normalization/de-normalization, data extraction, data cleansing and data manipulation.
• Practical experience with the data modeling (dimensional, relational, star schemas, snowflake schema modeling with facts and dimensions).
• Demonstrated thought leadership and interpersonal skills
• Established experience with automated, elastic scaling of cloud services, automated deployment and remediation
• Experience with implementation of Cloud application fabric technologies such as Cloud Foundry
• High level of ownership and accountability Required experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Mathematics, Analytical modeling or closely related discipline.
• Professional experience in DataBase Technology, Architecture, Hosting Technologies (5-8 years) & Data Warehouse Tools
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data modeling (including conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Experience in processing large data volumes indicated by experience with Big Data platforms (Teradata, Netezza, Vertica or Cloudera, Hortonworks, SAP HANA, Cassandra, etc.).
• Broad DataBase / Data experience Oracle/ MS SQL / NoSQL / EDW / ETL / stored procedure & query QA, Clustering & HA and Big Data / modern Data Analytics techniques.
• Technology Operations and Service Delivery experience
• Experience developing data-intensive applications on cloud-based architectures and infrastructures such as AWS, Azure etc. •
