Location Toronto
Office Location: Remote/222 Jarvis St. Toronto/at another office location with the ministry partners within Ontario
Working Hrs.: 7.25 Hrs. / day

Must Haves:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project activities across multiple complex technology projects
  • IT project management experience managing all phases (concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout) of large scale, complex IT projects.
  • Ability to manage vendor commitments to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders
Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Project Management Skills: 45 points

Knowledgeable and able to apply fundamental project management concepts, practices and procedures to a large project
Able to perform project management work that is varied, difficult and involves complexity in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated experience in managing project activities across multiple complex technology projects
IT project management experience managing all phases (concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout) of large scale, complex IT projects.
Demonstrated experience identifying and evaluating specific issues or risks, providing options analysis and recommending action plans to mitigate the risks.
Experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts/project collaterals, such as, , project plans, briefing notes, processes, change requests.
Experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item follow-ups and supporting escalations if required
Experience creating various levels of reports (e.g. executive, summary, status, etc.).
Experience leading portfolio level planning sessions involving multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience managing project schedules using MS Project and MS Project Online or equivalents for standard status reporting.
Demonstrated experience of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio), SharePoint, PowerBI
Demonstrated experience preparing and distributing project updates, progress reports to project stakeholders.
Experience developing and managing complex network transition and migration strategies
Exposure to developing and implementing large-scale, transition plans
Experience managing interdependencies related to key contract deliverables
Ability to manage vendor commitments to ensure contractual obligations are met
Ability to manage and provide oversight and direction to third party vendor resources
Provide the necessary input into Technical Readiness, Service Readiness and Operations to ensure a successful handoff from implementation to operations. This includes input into service management processes, asset lifecycle, collection of CI attributes, sparing and patching.
Excellent planning and time management skills and a focus on attention to detail.
Experience working with both the business users and IT teams.

Communication and Relationship Management: 30 points

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills.
Experience summarizing issues, risks, actions or decisions and preparing recommendations for management or senior management review.
A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks across multiple client groups and share experiences across a delivery team
Detail orientated with experience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.
Experience developing and presenting briefing notes, status reports, communications, team & executive presentations.
Excellent facilitation skills, Interpersonal and consultative skills.
Demonstrated good problem-solving and organizational skills, and awareness of emerging technology trends.
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated experience to act independently and make decisions that achieve optimal results with minimal supervision

Telecommunications and radio network experience in a large public sector entity: 20 points

Knowledge and experience both in strategic and operational public sector governance models, experience managing complex, multi-unit, multi-stakeholder and multiple levels of public sector executive stakeholder project team, experience with public sector ITSM and ITIL processes and policies, ability and demonstrated experience developing mutually beneficial relationships with public sector entities.
Strong experience of working on Public Safety Radio/telecom domain.Experience of large and complex projects with over $250M budget.
Demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a broader public sector (BPS) environment.
Experience of projects involving, network design, civil structures, user equipment distribution and operations.Experience
with projects involving large number of users (over 30,000), meeting their business requirements, training and communications needs etc.


Pevious Public Sector Experience: 5 points

Previous public sector experience is viewed as an asset
