Job Role: Property & Projects Clerk
Full-time (part-time considered).
Permanent (with at least 3 days working from MKDP offices in Central Milton Keynes).
Responsible to: Property & Asset Manager
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum (pro rata if applicable)
Milton Keynes Development Partnership LLP (MKDP) was established in 2013 by Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) as a separate legal entity and purchased a significant portfolio of land from Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) and the Homes and Community Agency (HCA). Having promoted and developed that land, MKDP has now evolved into the city’s local delivery vehicle, with a particular focus on placemaking through urban regeneration and the delivery of affordable housing.
With in house expertise and an independent Board, we are uniquely placed to act commercially to deliver projects and investments that achieve the city’s social environment and economic goals, as established in the Milton Keynes Strategy for 2050.

ROLE
This role will primarily be responsible for assisting the Special Projects Director and the Property & Asset Manager in the management of MKDP’s property assets, and the delivery of a portfolio of projects in accordance with the MKDP business plan. From time to time, the role will also involve assisting the Development Director with progressing technical, legal, and planning aspects of MKDP’s developments and disposals.
Key Deliverables:
· Ensure projects progress as planned.
· Assist in setting, managing, and reporting on individual project programmes/budgets.
· Assist in the handover of projects to the Development & Delivery team.
· Able to communicate effectively with internal and external project team members.
· Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Liaise with colleagues and external consultants to ensure all necessary information is provided to meet the agreed project programmes.
· Assist in reporting on individual project programmes.
· Assist with the management of budgets and invoicing.
· Assist with appointment of consultants and management of contracts.
Within reason these key deliverables may evolve to meet service need and it is expected that you will be flexible and adaptable in your delivery to meet service need.
REQUIREMENTS
· It would be desirable but not essential to have worked in a property related environment and/or to have an awareness and understanding of working within a political environment.
· Highly competent in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Able to demonstrate a well organised and systematic approach to work.
· Analyse, summarise and record relevant information clearly and concisely.
· Prioritise workload against agreed plans, deadlines and targets.
· Deal with sensitive and confidential issues.
· Communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
· Adapt personal skills and approaches to manage different situations.
