Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) reports directly to the Medical Clinical Operations Manager and is responsible for delivering expert nursing care to patients based on provider orders and established care plans. The RN also collaborates with the Medical Clinical Operations Manager to manage complex
patient cases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide expert nursing care following provider orders and established care plans.
• Collaborate with the Medical Clinical Operations Manager to oversee and manage complex patient assignments.
• Regularly assess and reassess patients' nursing needs to evaluate the effectiveness of care.
• Report significant changes in patients' conditions to the primary provider.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Medical Clinical Operations Manager, providing updates on patient care and conditions.
• Perform a variety of nursing services, including:
o Comprehensive physical assessments
o Patient and family education
o Urinary catheter insertion and care
o Venipuncture for lab orders
o Administration of intra-dermal, subcutaneous, and intra-muscular injections
o Wound care per provider orders
• Initiate preventive nursing procedures as needed.
• Counsel patients and their families on care plans and treatment requirements.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Thoroughly document all care in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in clinical record reviews, team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Implement pain management and symptom control plans to ensure patient comfort.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate care plans.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward staff, patients, and families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a valid nursing license.
2. At least one year of experience in providing nursing care based on provider orders and care plans.
3. Demonstrated maturity, patience, and diplomacy in working with patients and handling difficult situations.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with co-workers, patients, and their families.
5. Excellent communication skills, especially in conveying instructions and procedures, and instilling patient confidence.
6. Sensitivity to patients' needs and anxieties, with the ability to motivate them to adhere to treatments.
7. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
8. Familiarity with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
9. Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
