Position Title: Buyer 3 - Procurement -HVM
Eligibility Criteria: • Years of Experience: 8-12 Years • Job Experience: Minimum 4 years working experience in any of the following field/ fields are mandatory. Experience in working in a multinational high technology corporation, in procurement, Order Management, supply chain & operations are preferred. • Educational: Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred • Working Hrs : Flexible to meet Business Requirements for supporting Global Operations Working Hrs for US Region : 3pm-12am (Core Business Working Hrs: 8pm-12am) Working Hrs for Asia Region : 6am – 3pm Primary Responsibilities: • Purchase goods, materials, components in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules • Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization • Prepare reports and updates as and when required • Review opportunities to make business impact utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications • Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures • Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation suppliers to performance reviews • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues • Interacts closely with receiving team and QA to resolve quality/ variance issues and with Finance for accounting issues • Handing shortage parts effectively by closely working with Supplier and SBM • Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues. • To identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes. Mandatory Skills required to perform the job: • Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within a manufacturing environment • Conducts purchasing transactions and negotiates pricing, which requires considerable exercise of initiative and independent judgment. • Knowledge of principles and practices of purchasing, specifically relating to fabrication mechanical and outsourcing • Skill in analyzing complex technical specifications. • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel required. • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems for determining requirements for recurring production • Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills • Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment • Familiarity with an SAP MM Module Desirable Skills required: • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations • Keen attention to detail and accuracy • Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
