We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Developer in Test with strong expertise in VueJS to join our dynamic team. As a Developer in Test, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will work closely with our front end developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to design and implement automated test solutions, as well as perform manual testing where necessary.

Based on the Cape Town beachfront – a breathtaking expanse of white sand and surf, against the backdrop of the world-famous Table Mountain.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using VueJS and related technologies.
• Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing to identify and resolve issues that automated tests may miss.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements, design test strategies, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Code Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure testability, code quality, and adherence to standards.
• Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs to closure using bug tracking tools.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.you are working on e.g. Product Owners, Technical Architects, Delivery Manager/Team Lead, Developers, and Designers. 

 Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience with VueJS and Vuetify and its ecosystem.
• Proven commercial experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.
• Basic API testing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills paired with the ability to both communicate and collaborate with the wider team
• Ability to write VueJS Component tests in TypeScript using Vitest  
• Experience in writing automated scripts to streamline manual UI testing
