Responsibilities:

Update procurement specs. for electro-mechanical components
Analyze and update specs. for contactors, relays, electrical- and optical sensors, some micro-switches possible
Determine conformance to UL/CSA requirements of new components
Identify applicable A17.1 code requirements and evaluate conformance to it
Build prototypes
Custom made soft-starter calculations, sizing, wiring, and system qualification tests
Support supply chain ordering of sample, define requirements for this
Support of test engineering, writing test plan etc.
Evaluate vendor specs. vs electrical requirements, e.g. electro/mechanical specs.
F/F/F Tests
Markup of drawings and checklist review in preparation for stage gated change process
Support update of certifications for underlying assemblies, e.g. CSA, OSHPD
