Functional Analyst

DSA is seeking a highly qualified Functional Analyst to join our team in Annapolis, MD.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, etc.)
• 3+ years working on IT projects

Desired Qualifications

• Good understanding of software development life cycle
• Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology
• Knowledge of requirement gathering from customers and clients
• Knowledge of decomposing requirements to design statements
• Knowledge of creating a requirements traceability matrix (RTM)
• Ability to review client documentation and derive high level requirements
• Familiar with standard coding practices
• Proficient in MS Word 2013, MS Excel 2013, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
• Knowledge of MS Visio
• Self-motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies and the ability to multi-task.
• An individual that is not afraid to ask questions and can take ownership of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Analyst will be involved in design documentation, requirements gathering and analyzing existing business process and systems. He/she will have a broad knowledge of Budgeting, software development life cycle and will be highly adaptable in quickly changing technical environments with very strong organizational and analytical skills.
