TITLE: Director of Plant Engineering

ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: 100% on site

SHIFT: 1^st shift, Monday through Friday

We are looking for an Engineering Director who has a proven track record of leading a team in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees and takes ownership of all aspects of work within the engineering department including Process, Manufacturing, Materials, Design, Rapid Prototyping, NPD, Validation, etc.
Coach, mentor, hire, fire, and delegate responsibilities for a growing department that currently consists of five engineers.
Perform project management for complex, dynamic, and multi-leveled initiatives.
Establish and re-enforce engineering policies and procedures for the team following best practices that make sense.
Ensure optimal quality of design specifications to meet the business needs of the organization and our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. An advanced degree in Engineering Management is preferred
12+ years of proven experience in leading, mentoring, coaching, managing, and scaling multiple engineering teams within a manufacturing organization
8+ years experience in engineering leadership within a high throughput manufacturing environment
Strong leadership with the ability to build a team and lead by example
Demonstrated experience in formulating and executing enterprise-wide processes
Proven success with managing the development of products and systems from inception to creation
Expertise in complex statistical models, DOE's, and accelerated aging methodology
Strong experience with technologies such as MS Project, AutoCAD, LabView OR SolidWorks
Highly analytical with the ability to make information-based decisions
