HVAC Service Manager - Relocation Available
A commercial HVAC company based in Atlanta, GA is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of HVAC Service Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the prompt resolution of system issues to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proficient in repairing systems/components, managing warranty tasks, implementing system improvements, and providing leadership to other technicians. Additionally, this role may require occasional work beyond regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer needs and maintain job profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of service technicians or work independently to promptly address and resolve customer complaints, escalating issues to the Service Manager as needed.
- Prioritize safety by ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform start-up services for mechanical equipment, including variable frequency drives, air handling units, fans, laboratory airflow & control systems, and humidification equipment.
- Interpret technical information related to HVAC systems and provide recommendations for service and corrective actions.
- Train team members to enhance their skills and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to conduct periodic performance reviews of field technicians and establish goals for improvement.
- Develop procedures to enhance troubleshooting skills, equipment testing methods, and overall comfort levels with HVAC equipment.
- Analyze technical documents, electrical drawings, and system designs to identify performance issues.
- Maintain a positive attitude and strive to find effective solutions to customer problems.
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure timely and profitable project completions.
- Demonstrate strong project management and analytical skills.
- Utilize standard tools for HVAC work, including gauges, meters, drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, torches, wrenches, screwdrivers, ladders, and mobile equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.).
- Lead by example and promote excellence in customer service, prioritizing safety above all else.
