We are a diverse team of engineers (Frontend, Backend, QA and Data Science) from seven different nations. As our team not only consists of Düsseldorf-based engineers we are working fully remote, though we still meet in the office for company meetings, brainstorming sessions and team events. It is thus not required to live in Düsseldorf or nearby, we are happy to collaborate with colleagues from all around Germany.

Your mission

• Design and implement reliable and maintainable backend components for our Metalshub platform using Python (Django REST Framework)
• Review code developed by your peers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
• Translate complex business problems into technical solutions
• Participate in the product development process from solution development to release and continuous optimization in exchange with our frontend engineers, QA engineer and product owners
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content

Your skillset

You’ll need to have

• ~4 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (preferably Python)
• Experience with software design and architecture

We’d love to see

• Good knowledge of Python, Django REST Framework as well as PostgreSQL,
• TDD mindset
• Keeping the balance between focusing on details and getting things done
• Thinking outside the box and are interested in other topics besides pure backend development/architecture
