Tasks

Support the Head of Client Transactions in the areas of risk management and structuring / Support on tax relevant transactions between the group and its business partners / Be involved in all types of non-standard transactions, capital markets (e.g. tax advantaged funding), finite (re)insurance, securitization and future product developments / Work on a real-time basis with the various deal teams, tax department and corporate centre colleagues (country expertise and functional areas of speciality) and group approval committees / Liaise with tax authorities, external tax advisors and documentation lawyers / Location of the position is Zurich / Work methodically under pressure / Maintain excellent documentation / Build up good relationships with the various teams and be able to handle conflicts efficiently / Have the instinct and the flexibility to tailor your approach to the size and type of problem as there is routine risk management work, where after an initial assessment no deeper analysis is indicated, complex and challenging risk management efforts on large projects, and variety of structuring support, from minor tax questions to major projects, depending on deal pipeline and your “client development success”.

Requirements

Master or Bachelor degree / Tax professional with post-qualification experience / Good knowledge of tax issues and developments in the financial services industry, ideally with a focus on capital markets, corporate finance and /or insurance / Willingness to travel / Excellent communication skills (oral and written) / Team player; hands-on approach.
