Legal Expert (m/w/d) - Offerista Group and Yagora

WE ARE LOOKING FOR...

...a highly skilled and experienced Legal Expert (m/w/d) to join our dynamic Legal & Compliance Team and be responsible for legal counseling for Offerista Group GmbH and Yagora, two of our international companies that are based in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe countries (ie Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania).

You will report to the ShopFully General Counsel and will have extensive experience in German law to provide expert legal advice and guidance on matters including, but not limited to, contract law, data protection and advertising regulations.

YOUR MISSION WITH US:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including client and supplier contracts, partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements and business objectives.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to assess potential risks, liabilities and legal implications associated with business activities, transactions and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including business development, marketing and finance teams, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks across all aspects of the business.
• Stay abreast of developments in German commercial and corporate law, regulatory trends and industry best practices, and provide proactive recommendations and updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, claims and litigation matters in collaboration with external legal counsel, as necessary.
• Together with ShopFully General Counsel, develop and deliver training programs and legal guidance materials to educate internal teams on legal requirements, policies and procedures.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and compliance activities (ie GDPR, anti-bribery, whistleblowing activities, etc.), including the review and enhancement of internal policies, procedures and contract templates.

THIS IS WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:

• Degree in Law (minimum First State Examination).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in German commercial law, preferably within the advertising or media industry.
• In-depth knowledge of German contract and corporate law, data protection regulations (including GDPR) and advertising standards and regulations.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements in German and English languages.
• Professional proficiency in German (written and spoken) is mandatory; at least B2 knowledge of English language (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical and actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts and advice effectively to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving business objectives.
