We are looking for a Finance and Accounting Associate to join our Operations Team. In this role, you will be a major contributor to running the Financial Operations across our entities. You work closely with Evmos Operations colleagues and cross-functional team members from People Operations, Growth and Engineering. You will also support the executive team of Evmos by engaging in special, high velocity projects that will range across all functional areas of the company, while making sure that our day-to-day operations run smoothly. Additional tasks might include negotiating contracts with vendors or Partners, or Treasury Management for the Evmos Foundation.

Candidates, who are fascinated with what makes growth-phase startups tick, who are solution-oriented, structured, comfortable with numbers, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills will get the opportunity to solve some of the most exciting general and crypto-specific operational challenges of a company in a high-growth phase.

The ideal candidate has previously worked in a Banking, Finance or Strategy Consulting role that challenged them to work in a fast-paced, agile and distributed startup team environment, who had to bring parties together for shared benefit and can work autonomously creating their own goals and desired outcomes for the role.

Your main responsibilities:

• Take ownership of Accounting processes and monthly execution (with our German accounting firm partner, and Quickbooks)
• Lead team spend management (Moss, other tools)
• Own, track budgeting (Google sheets or preferred SaaS) and report to team- and executive leadership
• Lead Payroll (including Deel, Datev)
• Drive Multisig operations for Evmos Foundation (Gnosis Safe)
• Contribute to external vendor negotiations (e.g. SaaS companies) and salary negotiations with new team contributors
• Add financial reporting to monthly investor briefings
• Set-up and execute our treasury management
• Assist Operations Leadership with special projects across Legal, Finance, Recruiting-/ HR-related functions
• Define strategic priorities for yourself and the rest of the team to bring more value to the Evmos ecosystem

Qualifikation

What you will learn

• Develop an in-depth understanding of how a crypto growth company establishes and runs its Finance and Accounting Operations across entities
• Manage Investor Relations and communication with Capital Markets together with executive team
• Support core team to create and track progress of our strategic roadmap
• Developing an active and prosperous ecosystem of value creation on the Evmos blockchain

Nice to Have

• Top Tier Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking or Project Management experience
• Accounting-, and Finance processes understanding in a Crypto company
• Experience in solving legal- and compliance questions across international entities
• Speak German
• Presentation-building experience (Google Sheets, Powerpoint)
• Experience in using Notion to setup and maintain Knowledge Management databases
