For our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to build a team and take E2E responsibility for our new Staking product. As a Lead Developer, you will play a critical role in the development and success of our product, working with your team to ensure that our product meets the needs of our customers while achieving our goals associated with the product. This position includes technical leadership of a team as well as personnel responsibility for the developers on your team.
Tasks
- Together with a Product Owner, you will build a new team of experienced developers and assume end-to-end responsibility for the newly created Staking product - you build it, you run it.
- In this role, you will be a manager, mentor, and coach for your team members and a software developer.
- You will represent the team to all Tangany employees and external partners.
- Together with your Product Owner, you will coordinate and decide on the prioritization of tasks for your team.
- You will make independent decisions about software architecture, software design, & API design aligned with our internal policies.
- Using Node.js with TypeScript, you will develop scalable & secure backend services and APIs operated by you and your team using the Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- You will establish a DevOps mindset and implement Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines to ensure the highest quality standards while simultaneously delivering continuous customer value.
- Together with leads and developers from other development teams, you will identify technical innovations and drive them forward.
- You develop and continuously improve our standards for secure software development, especially regarding code quality, clean code, automated tests, deployment, diagnostics, and auditability.
Requirements
- Proficient in blockchain technology and staking protocols.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing APIs and/or backend services with TypeScript and Node.js.
- At least 2 years of experience in E2E responsibility and leadership of software development teams.
- Proven experience with the Microsoft Azure Stack (Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, API Management, etc.) as well as with Terraform-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Expert knowledge of web architectures, API design, and communication with OAuth2-based authentication methods.
- Ideally, experience in secure software development practices, automated testing, clean code, and design patterns.
- Passion to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and regulatory changes in a startup environment
- High affinity for blockchain is a must; technical blockchain knowledge is advantageous.
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape for crypto assets, especially in Germany.
- Experience with compliance and security frameworks applicable to crypto custodians.
- Affinity for application security, cutting-edge technology stack, and high-efficiency operations in a small but dedicated team of crypto enthusiasts.
- Fluency in English (at least C1). German is a plus.
