Deine Aufgaben

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring the flow of data from various sources to storage and analytical systems.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, both internal and external, to create a unified and comprehensive view of the organization's data.
• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, transform, and aggregate data for analysis.
• Manage and optimize databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Write code and scripts in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL to automate data processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data engineering processes into larger software systems.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems with other enterprise systems.
• Document data engineering processes, workflows, and system architectures.
• Keep documentation up-to-date and accessible for team members.

Was Du mitbringst

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in database design, SQL, and data modeling.
• Strong programming skills, with expertise in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills in English, German is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git for managing codebase and collaborative development
• Experience with using RPA tools
