Chief Finance Officer (m/f/x)

Hello there! We're Planet A Ventures, a venture capital and private equity firm with a passion for the environment. We're all about tackling the world's biggest environmental problems through early-stage funding and mentoring for highly scalable green tech startups. With our team of 11-50 dedicated individuals, we measure and forecast the positive environmental impact of a startup as our central metric of success. Currently, we're searching for a Chief Finance Officer (m/f/x) who's ready to help us continue making a difference. Tasks

• Develop and execute the financial strategy of Planet A, aligning with our mission to support sustainable and impactful investments.
• Lead fundraising initiatives for the upcoming fund and future investment vehicles.
• Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure timely and accurate financial information is available to support decision-making.
• Work closely with the investment team to assess the financial viability and risks of potential investments.
• Provide strategic financial insights to optimize our investment portfolio for both financial returns and environmental impact.
• Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage relationships with investors, partners, and financial institutions. Communicate financial performance and strategic direction effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop our small but mighty finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably with a background in venture capital/ private equity, and fund management within Germany.
• In-depth knowledge of the German financial regulatory environment and a solid understanding of global investment strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in both German and English.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage high-performing teams.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and not shy away from hands-on work when needed.
