Your Tasks
- Development, implementation, and tuning of feedback control loops, state estimators, and supervisory controllers.
- R&D experimental flights of tethered kite systems: planning, supervision, controller tuning/validation and data analysis, incl. those of systematic error and causes.
- Supervision and continuous improvement of flight control system performance, based on experimental data and feedback from operation team.
- Development of non-linear dynamic models and simulations.
- Identification of linear dynamic models and their application in controller synthesis (loop shaping).
- Support for requirements engineering and definition of control system architecture.
Your Qualifications
Must have:
- MSc in Control Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Relevant practical professional experience
- Proficiency in programming in C/C++ and Matlab and/or python
- Experience in working with version control systems Git and/or SVN
- Independent thinker and team player
Desired:
- several years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with real-time operating systems
- Experience with airborne systems
- Interested in being airborne (e.g. paragliding, kite surfing, gliding) or air borne systems (e.g. flying drones)
