Senior Frontend Engineer (Europe Remote)

Tasks

What you will be doing:

In this role, you are part of our Product team of 50 professionals such as Frontend & Backend Developers, UX & UI Specialists, and Product Managers. You work 100% on mission-critical projects from the first day on. The role requirements will be split into two phases:

1. Phase 1 - Onboarding & sherpany(dot)com rebranding overhaul:

While you will begin onboarding to our way of working and learning about the architecture and complexity of our Sherpany product, your first assignment (6-9 months) will be a complete overhaul of the sherpany's website following an ambitious company rebranding exercise. The requirements are to transform the design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

1. Phase 2 - Mastering Sherpany product development:

You would join our Flow Squad (Growth Squad), responsible for making our users discover new features in the product, create opportunities for upselling, and plan upgrades. You will leverage your expertise in developing the front end of our product, while contributing to research and technological challenges beyond the scope of your immediate tasks.

If this is your professional ambition, you'll have the opportunity to grow into a Front-end Technical Lead role, by:

• Mentoring and supporting chapter members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge within the front-end domain
• Defining coding standards, researching and staying up to date with technological trends, improving frameworks, performance and stability,
• Ensuring that the team produces reliable and efficient front-end solutions, you will help drive the quality of the Sherpany product.
• Don’t worry, we still want you to code at least 50% of your time and we won’t burden you with people or project management responsibilities.

Requirements

What we will love about you:

• Advanced level knowledge of JavaScript
• Deep understanding of React (hooks) and TypeScript for type checking
• Experience in designing and maintaining complex/large user interfaces
• Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility
• Can adapt to different stacks. Vue.js and Next.js knowledge is a bonus
• Clear & effective communication, potential to steer a group discussion toward a constructive resolution, data-driven mindset, passion for helping your peers grow through feedback and coaching, curiosity for technological trends, and improving technical process
