Data Engineer (f/m/d) - onsite or remote / home office

Tasks

The Data Management team is a cross-functional team responsible for providing and maintaining the data foundation for IONOS' existing customer business, maintaining and expanding data sources, and advising data consumers.

To strengthen the Data Management team, we are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) with the following responsibilities:

• Responsibility for our in-house developed Customer Data Platform (CDP) based on the cloud-based Data Warehouse Snowflake.
• Developing concepts for storing and processing both existing data from different data sources and real-time data streams in the Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Implementation, maintenance, and operation of data pipelines (ELT approach) and processes.
• Further development of individual components of the CDP and adapting them to the target infrastructure.
• Implementation and operation of ETL processes for the collection, storage, maintenance, preparation, enrichment, and distribution of data.
• Care and supervision of components of our data infrastructure from the data source to visualization.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake) as well as initial experience in Java.
• Experience with technologies (e.g. Snowflake) and with current cloud technologies for data storage.
• High level of self-initiative and enjoyment in learning new skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Proactive and confident communication at all levels as appropriate to the situation.
