Black Drop Biodrucker GmbH is a 3D-Bioprinting company headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. 3D-Bioprinting is a key technology for growing tissue-like structures based on the concept of additive manufacturing. According to a virtual model, matrix materials loaded with living cells are printed layer by layer to build a living construct. Along the bioprinting value chain, Black Drop develops, manufactures and distributes 3D-Bioprinting systems, bioinks and bioprinted tissue models for preclinical research and therefore find alternatives to animal testing to ensure the well-being of all living creatures.

Black Drop mission is to support researchers and scientists enhancing their research outcomes through provision of the necessary tools to bioprinting the future, now!

Tasks

• Further development of the front and back-end software of our 3D bioprinters
• Implementation of features to support new printing processes and hardware updates
• Collaboration with our hardware team to optimize printing processes
• Fixing bugs and implementing new features based on user feedback
• Carrying out software tests for quality assurance

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Experience in programming with Java
• Knowledge of 3D printing technology and hardware is an advantage
• Ability to work in an agile team
• Ambition to find innovative solutions to complex problems
• Very good communication skills in German and English
