As a Millwork CAD Operator, you will play a key role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed, production-ready designs. You’ll collaborate closely with our design and production teams, ensuring every piece meets both aesthetic and functional standards. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving and enjoys seeing their designs take shape in the real world.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed millwork shop drawings using AutoCAD, adhering to project specifications and standards.
- Interpret architectural plans and specifications to develop accurate, production-ready designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, and the production team to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability by considering materials, production methods, and installation requirements.
- Review and revise designs to meet client feedback, code compliance, and internal quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD
- Experience in millwork, cabinetry, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of woodworking materials, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and construction documents.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both internal teams and clients.
