Auto Installation Technician - Emergency Vehicles

We are looking for candidates who would enjoy and thrive in a culture of prioritization and execution with exceptional professional conduct.  Some mechanical aptitude and/or automotive experience with great attention to detail is a plus.  This opportunity provides the candidates to grow as they increase in their mechanical skills and receive training and education in upfitting vehicles for emergency responders.

With (5) locations in the western region, this job offers an abundance of opportunities for learning, growth, and transfer.

Schedule

  • Full Time-Hourly
  • Typical Schedule is Monday- Friday 5:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.; some overtime required.

Compensation

  • $20-$24 Depending on experience
  • Bonus potential after satisfactorily completing initial training period.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts. 
  • Installation of specialized emergency vehicle Lightbars, Emergency lighting, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, In Car Video, Computers, License Plate Recognition and much more.
  • Attention to detail as it relates to job progress and tracking of hours.

Attributes of a Strong Candidate:

  • Ability to work with hand and power tools such as, screw drivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc.
  • Capability to bend, twist, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. 
  • Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources a plus.
  • Capacity to work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • Pre-Employment Background Check.
