<p>We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in our stockport head office. </p><p>The Payroll Administrator will manage and process payroll operations accurately and efficiently. The role involves handling employee payments, ensuring compliance with UK payroll regulations, and providing support for payroll-related queries.</p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities </strong></p><p></p><li>Process payroll for employees on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Maintain accurate payroll records, including salaries, deductions, and benefits.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Calculate statutory deductions, such as tax, National Insurance, pensions (including auto-enrolment), and student loan repayments.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, including PAYE and HMRC requirements.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Submit Real-Time Information (RTI) reports to HMRC.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Administer pension schemes in line with workplace pension regulations.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Handle payroll adjustments, such as bonuses, overtime, and sick pay (SSP, SMP, SPP).</li><p></p><p></p><li>Process new starters, leavers, and any contractual changes.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Generate and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s, and other payroll documents.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Respond to employee payroll queries and liaise with HR and finance teams as necessary.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Support year-end payroll procedures, including tax year-end reporting.</li><p></p><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p><p></p><li>Experience in payroll processing.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Knowledge of UK payroll legislation, taxation, and pension schemes.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Excellent organisational and time-management skills.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Strong communication skills for liaising with employees and external agencies.</li><p></p><p></p><li>Experience with HMRC online services and RTI submissions.</li><p></p><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Company Information</strong></p><p>Established in 1994, OCU Group is one of the fastest growing utility engineering contractors in the UK, with a long successful track record in delivering customer-focused civil engineering solutions.</p><p>Working directly with many of the country’s leading blue-chip power, water, telecoms, and rail clients, we are looking for the very best talent to join our growing team.</p><p>We pride ourselves on empowering our employees and offering opportunities for them to take control of their own personal development and career progression in a supportive environment.</p><p>We believe that being successful is a choice.</p><p>We choose to be successful.</p><p>We are OCU, ‘One Company United’.</p><p><strong>We celebrate difference and appreciate diverse backgrounds.
