We have become a game-changer for teams around the world who look to Upstart’s services as a differentiator. </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><strong><br>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a computer-related field of study and six (6) or more years of proven experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular 2+, Hibernate and Rest Services, and/or six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Experience in OS/SQL and Oracle database preferred.<br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul> <li>Supports Software Architect to develop and maintain architectural direction and standards, incorporating emerging technologies and techniques.</li> <li>Develops architecture specifications and scaffolding, performs design and code reviews, and leads/mentors software engineers.</li> <li>Develops code assets, including prototypes, software architecture components, starter kits, client solutions, and microservices.</li> <li>Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Java and related frameworks.</li> <li>Designs and develops software applications using HTML 5(Bootstrap), Docker, JavaScript; XML; CSS; Rest Services; Spring Boot; and Hibernate.</li> <li>Resolves production support issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, configuration, and testing.</li> <li>Works with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and resulting software works as intended.</li> <li>Implements containerization technology strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Works on building, scaling, and monitoring various highly complex applications, and making container orchestration clusters highly available.</li> <li>Builds and sets up new development tools and infrastructure.</li> <li>Selects and deploys appropriate CI/CD tools to automate and improve development and release processes.</li> <li>Provides post-implementation support to ensure a smooth transition to production of all services released for production.</li> <li>Interfaces with the business, technical staff, and vendors to shape requirements and direction of technology and support project-related activities.</li></ul><p><strong><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong>:<br></strong></p><ul> <li>Knowledge of <strong>Java 11+ </strong>and its ecosystems.</li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>Angular 2+ </strong>and its ecosystems.</li> <li>Knowledge and familiarity with <strong>Springboot</strong>, Hibernate, MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.</li> <li>Knowledge and familiarity working with <strong>microservices.</strong><br>• Ability to quickly absorb technical information and become a subject matter expert.<br>• Ability to work independently on assignments given by a project manager/team lead.<br>• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely to project stakeholders.<br>• Knowledge of the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) from design through implementation.<br>• Knowledge of creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.<br>• Knowledge of project planning, project management, & risk management.<br>• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.<br>• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.<br>• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.</li> </ul><hr><p><strong>Why Upstart13?</strong></p><ul> <li>We put people <strong>first</strong> at Upstart 13!
