Summary: The India Commercial Manager is responsible for the delivery and execution of the overall growth strategy for the region. To effectively manage and drive commercial targets through Sell-out and Ranking within the Region. The role requires a get going mentality, strong multi-tasking skills with an entrepreneurial spirit, that has excellent relationship building skills, and a high competency in driving sales.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Commercial Manager to develop yearly India Budget by brand, bringing key insights into promotional opportunities with each retailer.
- Deep dive into commercial performance by door and dot.com to effectively identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Build partnership relationship with Retailers’ Management team and meet regularly to discuss performance and opportunities.
- Proper Inventory management to ensure availability of Hero Products, minimize out of stock, avoid stock buildup on slow movers and secure New Launches on time.
- Develop, implement and execute full 360 Marketing Strategy
- Identify and partner with Marketing agencies in the region to execute Marketing Strategy
- Participate in strategic meetings with marketing, merchandising, and training teams to negotiate commercial conditions (animations, exclusivity etc.)
- Collect the needs of all the trade marketing materials from clients and transmit them to Trade Marketing team
- Propose events to client and coordinate with Trade Marketing for the organization
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, beauty trends, and product offers.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant and successful in region experience in a commercial customer-facing role.
- Beauty experience is essential, Cosmetics experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent leadership & communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of retailer strategies and objectives
- Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Operating with diligence and attention to detail. Must be flexible and determined, possessing the ability to handle a multitude of projects and the willingness to put in the time necessary for success
- Strong analytical skills including competency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
