About the Team

We are a multi-disciplined team of experienced technology, banking, customer experience, marketing, and legal professionals who share a passion for the company’s mission and believe in a collaborative approach to creating the greatest social bank. What you’ll do:

  • Support the effective design and implementation of monitoring rules to help manage Kroo’s AML/Fraud risks.
  • Perform statistical analysis of transaction monitoring rules results, in order to improve the execution of Kroo’s monitoring strategy.
  • Deputise for the Financial Crime Strategy and Monitoring Manager to manage escalations from the 1st Line Teams and key stakeholders. 
  • Test rule changes first hand by working live 1st line alerts and providing feedback to the Financial Crime Strategy and Monitoring Manager.
  • Liaise with the Product teams, when required, to implement system changes, report issues and request the implementation of new features.
  • Support with preparing the 1st Line Operations teams for any rules changes and carry out an impact analysis to ensure operational readiness.
  • Support with system testing to ensure that the financial crime risks are accurately captured by Kroo’s systems and produce records to evidence. 
  • Collaborate with the second line of defence, the Head of Financial Crime and the MLRO to implement rules as required by regulatory recommendations. 
  • Develop MI and produce reports to present for senior management and the Board.
  • Keep critical monitoring records up to date in line with industry best practice record keeping.

Requirements

You’ll need to have: 

  • 2 years experience in a similar field in financial services, preferably in retail banking.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of AML policies and procedures to address financial crime risks and application of a risk-based approach.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and data interpretation and ability to produce meaningful MI, facilitate business decisions using data and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to analyse and present your ideas to senior management and C-Suite executives.

Please note: Our ambition is to be a truly 24/7 customer-focused bank. In order to achieve this, you'll be working shifts across 5 days (Monday - Friday) and 37.5 hours per week.
