We are seeking to hire a Senior Associate / Associate to support the Investment Group in the evaluation of global investment opportunities in carbon ecosystem enablers. The individual should be highly motivated, possess sound judgement and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours. This role offers the unique opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic organisation in Singapore.
 

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform industry research in the areas of Carbon Ecosystem Enablers (e.g. carbon exchange and marketplaces, monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV), carbon ratings, carbon accounting and advisory services, among other sectors)
• Support the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities through:
  • Financial modelling, valuation analyses, and sensitivity & scenario analyses
  • Collaborate internally to build investment thesis and prepare investment memorandums
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence across commercial, financial, tax, ESG and legal workstreams, in conjunction with Corporate departments
  • Preparing written analyses, evaluations and presentations for investment opportunities for use and review by relevant stakeholders
• Assist with the ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies, and undertake required analysis of performance against investment thesis and projected returns
• Support tracking of investment pipeline and pace of deployment, as well as dynamic portfolio allocation and construction

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or accounting advisory services
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance and/or engineering or a related field
• Interest in sustainability and climate
• Analytical problem-solver with attention to details
• Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong research and due diligence capabilities
• High level of professionalism and personal integrity
