CAREER OPPORTUNITY- WINE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Our client, a well-established wholesale company with over 37 years in the industry, specialises in supplying wines, champagne, port, and a wide range of dry and frozen food products to hotels and restaurants. They are currently seeking a proactive, self-motivated sales professional to join their team as a Wine Sales Representative.
The Role
The Wine Sales Representative reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager and will be responsible for:
- Working with the Senior Management of the company to develop strategies to increase sales and listings in the market (Hotels, Restaurants, Villas etc).
- Managing the budgets set by portfolio and analysing market trends to assist in identifying potential growth and expansion opportunities.
- Proposing and assisting with promotional activities.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers for the assigned portfolio.
- Ensuring that all orders and customer queries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Ensuring familiarity with all products in the portfolio, ensuring that adequate stock levels are attained based on the season.
- Working with customers to facilitate training and awareness of products including any advertising or promotion options that would potentially increase sales.
The Candidate
The Wine Sales Representative should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the wine, food, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and representatives in the given portfolio.
- A valid driver’s licence and fulltime access to a vehicle.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
