Quality Engineer
As a Marketing Operations (MO) Quality Engineer, you must have strong programming and automation skills, and a demonstrated track record in delivering high-quality software in fast-paced agile environments. Primary responsibilities involve developing test strategies, design and document test cases, extensive automation, test execution and reporting software defects. Secondary responsibilities include performing risk analysis and advocating process improvements.
Responsibilities
Apply knowledge into designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining automated test infrastructure and test cases for MO applications.
Use automated and manual testing strategies to guide testing efforts based on available resources and deliverables.
Collaborate with product owners, solution engineers and data analysts to develop acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis and verify that fixes for defects and new features work as expected and do not cause regression.
Proactively identify new opportunities to incorporate automation to continually improve MO efficiency and consistency.
Participate in project planning, scrum calls, report status, and raise areas of risk to management.
Promote the adoption of test tools that are developed via training, documentation, and keeping ease of use top of mind.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in quality assurance (QA) or software development.
Knowledge of QA methodologies like agile, scrum, and continuous integration (CI).
Interact with 3rd party APIs (eg., Salesforce, Eloqua, ServiceNow) to enhance and automate end-to-end testing.
Passionate in cracking the software and finding defects.
Able to learn independently.
Able to manage multiple projects at the same time, in a fast-paced environment, across time zones and with different cultures.
Attentive to detail and able to communicate effectively.
Strong automation development skills, including extensive experience with one or more of: Python, Java, bash, Go, or other high-level languages.
Experience with storage, cloud technologies and Kubernetes.
Experience with automation tools like Jenkins
Experience with open source software and solutions.
Subject Matter Expertise
Extensive experience in Test automation implementation.
Good to have experience
Query Languages: SQL
Data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Grafana)
Familiar with marketing automation systems (e.g., Eloqua) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com) and other related technologies.
