Job Title: Portfolio Lead
Salary: £38,250 - £47,750 per annum
Hours per week: 35 (flexible options considered in line with business needs)
Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week (one of which will be a Tuesday). The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

As the mastermind behind our corporate project portfolio, you'll lead the charge in planning, delivering, and reporting on high-impact projects that shape our future. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in evolving our Project Management processes, ensuring every project not only meets but exceeds expectations.
You will play a key role in ensuring that projects meet expectations and deliver value across the organisation, advising managers on project management best disciplines, tools and approaches and being a reference point for programme management queries.
From overseeing portfolio budgets to providing real-time performance updates, you’ll keep stakeholders in the loop and decisions on track. You’ll also pioneer the creation of tools and processes that empower Governance Bodies, ensuring clear, effective communication throughout the entire organisation.
What you'll bring
You will have a strong understanding of successful project management principles and frameworks, including knowledge of programme and project management methods for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes—or you may be an experienced business leader eager to adapt and learn these principles. Your expertise will span the entire project lifecycle, from procurement and negotiation to financial management, ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Additionally, you'll recognize the strategic role of information technology as a key enabler of time, cost, and productivity across the business.
Your communication skills are top-notch—you can craft clear, compelling reports and deliver presentations that captivate any audience. Building strong relationships comes naturally to you, and your negotiation and influencing skills make you a force to be reckoned with. With your sharp organizational abilities and knack for prioritizing, you can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities with ease. Proactive and solution-oriented, you’re always one step ahead, ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way.
