OVERVIEW:
Are you our next Senior Payroll Executive? We’re looking for someone to join our payroll team, to help support the Global Payroll Manager as we seek to expand the payroll function into a truly value adding team.
This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll processes for all our employees and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations, and subsequent submissions and payments as well as coordinating with employees to answer queries and improve understanding around pay.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- The completion of Monthly UK payroll processing approx. of 800.employees from end to end.
- Oversee global payrolls with support from Global Payroll Manager.
- Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data management and seamless payroll integration.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
- Liaise with Employment Tax Manager and HR team to analyse new and existing benefits to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting at all times.
- Stay updated with UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, communicating to relevant stakeholders where required
- Handle payroll-related enquiries from employees, addressing concerns and providing accurate information.
- Oversee the administration of employee pension schemes, including enrolment, contributions, and liaison with pension providers.
- Support with the coaching and development of Payroll Exec.
- Act as deputy in absence of Global Payroll Manager.
- Maintain payroll records and files, providing reports to various stakeholders
- Support Global Payroll Manager with payroll projects including business growth initiatives.
- Support the payroll team with developing automated and efficient processes.
- Provide payroll support and guidance to other functions and individuals where appropriate
- Support with end of year P60 and P11D reporting to HMRC
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience processing inhouse payroll end to end, In-depth knowledge of UK payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of statutory deductions, including income tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing complex payroll scenarios.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex payroll calculations and reconciliations.
- Understanding of Automatic Enrolment and pensions legislation
- Experience of processing both hourly and salaried employees
- Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality
- Customer Service focused
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word/ Outlook)
- Key attention to detail, ability to work under minimal supervision and use own initiative
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to flex hours around particular monthly payrolls and annual deadlines
- Able to handle high levels of pressure at certain times
- Strong moral compass and integrity upholding governance and compliance at all times
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
- CIPP qualified or working towards a payroll qualification at this level.
- Working knowledge of Sage Payroll
- International Payroll experience
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK
