Role title: Rewards Specialist

Reporting to: Head of HR

Working mode: Contract 

The Rewards Specialist will help build and reinforce the culture and business goals by designing, communicating, and administering a compensation and benefits, policies, and programs to deliver an outstanding employee experience that supports the Boku's ability to recruit & retain talent, drive employee engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development & execution of Boku's Total Reward strategy & approach partnering with the wider People Operations team, business leaders, and employees.

The candidate will develop communications plans to ensure programs are well understood, administered equitably, competitively aligned to market, in full compliance, and cost effective. This leader must have the gravitas to work effectively with the Senior Leadership Team & employees alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Design/administer a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns employee rewards with the organization's values, enabling Boku  to attract, reward, and retain talent.
  • Ensure regular benchmarking and market research on pay and benefits is undertaken to enable Boku to remain competitive and an employer of choice
  • Conduct and analyze annual market pay and benefits surveys and determine new pay scales.
  • Set and oversee organizations annual compensation cycle including design of review templates, manager/employee communication and training of process and end-to-end process management.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team assists in the development of market-competitive compensation packages that enables them to attract high caliber talent while managing internal equity.
  • Develop a job architecture that effectively defines robust criteria to consistently level roles across the organization using robust survey data and market insights.
  • Identify Total Reward proposals to maximize the impact of current provisions, whilst also identifying gaps and opportunities to improve the offer to deliver maximum return on investment
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the benefits function that results in effective and efficient management of programs and partners (negotiate favorable renewals, manage open enrolment processes, robust employee communication plans, wellness and health education initiatives, etc.)
  • Collaborate with external benefits and compensation advisors to stay abreast of emerging trends and proactively put forward recommendations that enable the organization to be competitive and resourceful in our total rewards investments.
  • Ensure compliance with individual countries, federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a proactive approach with new and anticipated changes to legislation and regulation, which may impact organizational processes and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver communications that help our employees understand and appreciate the value of their total compensation, inclusive of benefits, base, bonus, equity, programs related to holistic wellbeing, etc.
  • Management and execution of Pension plans, including compliance and fiduciary activities.
  • Assess HR systems and determine solutions that can scale with the company which allows for manager and employee self-service and provides support to the business.
  • Work closely with Finance, People Operations to collaborate and ensure seamless integration of compensation and benefits into the organizations systems
  • Promote best practices to foster collaboration across the departments, strengthen work relationships and increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensure legal compliance is continually being met and drive resolution for complex employee issues.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years’ progressive Total Rewards experience in a high paced environment, ideally in the Tech / Product led organizations.
  • A thought partner who can demonstrate balance in emotional intelligence and pragmatic judgment.
  • Ability to assess the business landscape, diagnose focus and improvement areas and provide strategic and practical solutions.
  • Accustomed to fast-growing, rapidly changing environments, bringing agility to a dynamic, complex, international and creative organization.
  • Prior experience working across multiple countries & jurisdictions (Europe and experience of working for organizations who an employees in Ukraine would be advantageous)
  • Successful experience in managing complex, cross- functional, global initiatives, processes & projects. Understanding of Agile methodology would be advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of local / regional labor law and employment regulations
  • Exceptional conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Laser focused, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit varied audiences.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships across all levels of the organization globally.
  • A driver of change who is relentless in your focus to deliver on our employee value proposition.
  • Familiar with SQL, Tableau or other data analytics tools
