SUMMARY

The Social & Digital Coordinator at Pinelake Church is responsible for strategically establishing and maintaining the messaging and brand recognition for Pinelake Church to both internal and external audiences through social media and digital marketing. This position develops strategic plans in these respective areas, training social teams on all campuses, as well as executing the ongoing digital presence of Pinelake Church. Pinelake, a mulit-site church, is one of the fastest growing churches in America, and the largest church in Mississippi. We believe that God wants to change our entire state, one life change story at a time. Even more, every week our app, live stream, and social media reaches from France to Lesotho, from Brazil to Boston, and everywhere in between. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
  • Assists staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
    • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.
    • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
    • Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
    • Maintain active participation in community.
    • Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).
    • Value the 7 H’s of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health and Harmony).

SPECIFIC LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements the social media and digital marketing strategy of Pinelake Church utilizing the assets created by the Communication Team.
  • Lead, support, and train social media teams on campuses and ministries that utilize social media.
  • Maintains positive brand recognition and clear messaging for Pinelake to both internal and external audiences via social media and digital marketing.
  • Collaborates with the communication team to research and evaluate new design trends, develop and execute creative elements, as well as resource our church family and visitors with pertinent information.
  • Utilizes measurement tools to gain insight on how to best resource and shepherd our church family, as well as how to steward our resources.
  • Collaborates with the IT Team and web/app vendors to discover and create new ways to improve the synergy between the various technology resources Pinelake utilizes, as well as new functionality and features that serve our church.
  • Demonstrates graphic design skills with a strong portfolio with a strong eye for visual design and composition.
  • Manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or General Communications.
  • Five years experience in social media and/or digital communications or design.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Proficiency in Meta Suite (Facebook, Instagram, Ad Management), TikTok, SEO practices.
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. Understanding of WordPress, HTML, and search engine optimization (SEO) practices with experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords to support Communications strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize social media and digital marketing for accuracy, security, and responsiveness.
