POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of Cassaday & Company, a top wealth management firm in the country and Virginia’s #1 financial advisor, you will join our team as a member of the Business Process Department.
The Junior Data Analyst will assist with the in the optimization of databases, and interpreting & auditing data sets to help solve organizational problems by ongoing analysis of confidential financial data for use in Firm reporting processes, and through ongoing maintenance of our in-house, proprietary database system. Additionally, this position will be responsible for identifying raw client data, importing and modeling it, and analyzing and presenting it. The ideal candidate for this entry-level position must possess and demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities and be comfortable working in a team setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with all departments within the organization and reports directly to the Director of Business Process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining data audit and support tools across numerous databases.
- Identify potential inconsistencies across systems on a variety of data points. Document findings and create action plans to ensure consistency throughout all data sources. Identify areas where changes are needed in business systems or methodology, implement changes with support from the Director of Business Process and continue monitoring the impact of such changes.
- Collaboratively work with end users to ensure all data repositories have consistent and accurate information.
- Develop/update documentation for user flows, data flows, reporting and for new and existing standard operating procedures.
- Translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities to stream-line processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SQL REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Access, Excel, and Power BI preferred.
- Solid knowledge of basic programming concepts and data structures.
- High level of initiative - a self-starter who thrives in a team environment.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- The ability to work with all levels of management and anticipate support requirements are critical skills needed to be successful in this role.
- The ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision and maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to client matters.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar) or relevant work experience preferred.
- Preferred candidates will have demonstrated skills in all areas and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Experience within the finance and investment management industries a plus.
