What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Graduate of Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, independently designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouses and pipelines.
- Proficient in Snowflake SQL and dbt, specializing in creating diverse data models and ensuring data quality
- Skilled in leveraging AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, Step Functions, CloudWatch) for scalable data solutions.
- Experienced in infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD for efficient development and deployment
- Proven ability to work with and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure data security and compliance.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies for collaborative and iterative development.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Additional Databases: Experience with MySQL/MariaDB is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to diverse database technologies.
- Snow Pro Core and Advanced Certifications, DBT Certified Developer - Advantageous
What will you do?
As Data Engineer you will play a crucial role in the company's data infrastructure. You will design and maintain data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality. Using tools like dbt, Snowflake, and AWS, you'll work with teams to provide data-driven insights and optimize processes.
- Building and maintaining robust data pipelines using dbt and Snowflake to ingest, process, and transform financial and cryptocurrency data from diverse sources
- Developing and implementing data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
- Ensuring data security and adherence to global data standards and mandates
- Implementing optimized data models for financial analysis, including handling cryptocurrency transactions, market data, and regulatory reporting
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions for informed decision-making
- Liaising with external partners, stakeholders, and development teams for data-related queries
- Proactively building and maintaining sustainable systems and services through automation
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines, models, processes, and issues
- Analyzing current technology and developing improvement processes
- Promoting a culture of designing for failure and sustainable incident response
