Job Responsibilities:

As a Junior Fraud Specialist you will be responsible for analysing transactions
made by our customers to ensure these meet our requirements.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:

● reviewing payments in real-time to identify indicators of fraud or
money-laundering
● analyzing fraud indicators to identify high risk payments and customers
● processing legitimate payments according to internal guidelines
● identifying fraud and money-laundering trends
● escalating high risk payments and customer to team leaders for
review
● providing training and assistance to other new team members when
needed.
● Providing email assistance to customers, banks and other organizations

Requirements

You thrive in a high pace, fast moving environment. You have a positive attitude,
high attention to detail and understand the importance of following a process.
Your skills, experience and equipment will include:

● at least 2 years of experience working as a fraud or payments analyst;
● experience with and competent in processing a high volume of
transactions (hundreds per day) quickly;
● experience analysing information and summarising conclusions
accurately;
● preferable if you have experience analysing payments for
cryptocurrency;
● fast internet connection (5mpbs broadband internet connection)

an inquisitive mind and resourceful to be able to conduct investigations
● whilst not necessary candidates who have experience in fast growing
companies or fully remote roles will be preferred.

To be eligible for this role you must be able to work on a shifting roster or weekends

Must be amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (but not on a weekly or daily basis)

Skills:
● Adaptable and resilient operating in a fast paced ever changing
environment
● Excellent verbal and written English with great interpersonal skills
● Ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience:
● Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and share
these with team leaders / manager
● Experience with and competent in communicating with customers with
varying cultural background and level of understanding of
cryptocurrency.
● Experience handling customer escalations
