Position: Senior Quality Technician
Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, primarily inspection of incoming purchased material, final inspection of finished devices, processing of non-conforming material, and management of returns to vendors, including working with engineers and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Evaluates data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education, or training. This role has defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The applicant should possess a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines. Perform incoming inspection per inspection plan requirements Perform the acceptance of finished devices as the final quality release Prioritize multiple product lines of varying speeds and volumes to ensure a steady flow of released material. Identify, document, segregate, evaluate, & disposition non-conforming material Obtain Return Material Authorization (RMA) and ship material to suppliers Maintain physical inventory and perform electronic transactions in ERP System to account for material shipments and supplier credits/rework Maintain compliance in a highly regulated environment for Class III medical devices following good documentation practices (GDP) Identify and potentially lead opportunities for improvement to improve organizational efficiency Perform other related duties as assigned. Cross functional collaboration, including but not limited to, Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure coordination of activities Min Qual: HS Diploma, intermediate pc skills, 3 plus years in inspection, MRB, or other quality assurance technician function. Desired Qual: Associates Degree or higher, advanced PC skills, ability to problem solve and address production related concerns, ability to work independently with minimal direction, ability to multi-task and change task focus with minimal notice
